The Popular Show Campaign 4 Reveals the Soldiers Group

Ever since the premiere of Campaign 4, recently appointed game master Brennan Mulligan has kept fans guessing with extensive world-building, a colorful mix of personalities, and a thrilling plot including angels, evil spirits, and sinister influences expanding in strength within Dol-Makjar.

Note: Revealing details for the third episode of the new season are included.

The Combat-Oriented Party Introduced

The latest chapter concluded with a huge suspense moment and revealed the premier party of characters who will split off from the main group to begin their own adventure, distinct from the other two tables.

The combat-focused team features the determined fighter (portrayed by Travis), the nimble rogue (Laura Bailey), the strong-willed figure (Whitney Moore), Wicander (the player), and Kattigan Vale (the actor).

The Reason for Division

Given 13 cast members, it was clear from the beginning that maintaining everyone at the same party would be unworkable.

That’s why, the initial installments of the new season serve as an Introduction, weaving together the personal journeys before dividing into three smaller tables: Fighters, Schemers, and Explorers.

What Defines the Combat Party

As described by the DM, the Soldiers table is for adventurers who prefer a typically action-packed battle-oriented gameplay experience where non-violent answers are few and far between.

At first glance, characters like the reluctant priest the cleric might look unsuited, but the developments of episode 3 demonstrate why these particular heroes are best suited for the warrior group.

Reasons to Leave

To begin with, the team knows exactly where to go next after a brutal first encounter with The Crow Keepers.

An old friend of the deceased character—whose demise initiated the story’s plot—manipulated The Crow Keepers for his own means, invading the secret base, attacking the character, and taking all the powerful objects to auction.

The traitor then settled his liabilities and ran away to a fortified location in the northern region, north of Dol-Makjar, with Teor’s brother pursuing him.

Character Drivers

Moreover, each adventurer has a personal reason to exit Dol-Makjar:

  • The rogue, as the close ally and closest confidant, seeks retribution.
  • Kattigan has experience in the region and warns that it is a nasty location.
  • Tyranny and The healer, having defied his relatives’ demands to execute the target and instead freed him, have no other options.
  • Yet, their reputation as prominent individuals in House Halovar could help the group access places they usually can’t.
  • Additionally, The fighter pledged a eternal obligation to The savior for his salvation and will now accompany him wherever.

Fugitives

Finally, all of them are hunted by the rulers that rule the setting for a multiple motives, making staying in the city dangerous:

  • The agile adventurer and The hero are known criminals.
  • The warrior and The healer defied the influential house and the army of fiends they are partnered with.
  • The target is wanted dead by House Halovar.

This results in them few options but to journey toward the northern region in search of the antagonist.

Upcoming Developments

From the recent installment’s post-show segment, we learn that the combat party will not appear the following episode, leaving the remaining eight players to form the Seekers and Planners parties.

Fans can anticipate learning which players will be where in Campaign 4’s last Overture episode, streaming live on the upcoming Thursday.
